Blackrock Neurotech named 2022 Best of State winner in Applied Science/Technology category

Blackrock Neurotech is pleased to announce it has been named the 2022 Best of State Award winner in the Applied Science/Technology category, marking the 4th year Blackrock has received this prestigious honor. The Best of State Awards were created to recognize outstanding individuals, organizations, and businesses in Utah.

Blackrock was recognized for its innovative neurotechnology devices, in particular its brain-computer interface (BCI) technology, which is implanted in patients now and has the potential to help millions of people affected by neurological diseases and disabilities caused by paralysis, ALS, and spinal cord injuries.

By the end of 2022, Blackrock plans to release the MoveAgain system, a miniaturized, wireless BCI platform that builds upon 25 years of groundbreaking clinical research in humans.

Best of State nominees are evaluated by more than one hundred judges on criteria that include overall excellence, creativity, and commitment to improving the quality of life in Utah.

Blackrock will join other honorees at the Best of State gala held Thursday, May 26, 2022, at the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City.
