The CerePlex E256™ is a 256-channel digital headstage accessory that serves as a compact interface connecting electrodes that are bonded to a Blackrock CerePort pedestal to the Cerebus or CerePlex Direct data acquisition systems. At the recording site, the CerePlex E256™ performs analog-to-digital signal conversion, which can minimize signal noise introduced during transmission to the recording system.
The CerePlex E256 delivers high-quality digital signals in a smaller and lighter form-factor.
The CerePlex E256 converts analog signals to digital proximal to the recording site using the Honey Badger ASIC chip, This provides extracellular spikes and local field potential data that’s 7x higher resolution*.

The CerePlex E256 can record a wide input range allowing researchers to record from a wide variety of electrodes including ECoG, SEEG, Micro-Macro Electrodes, and the Utah Array.
