The NeuroSnap Splitter Box seamlessly bridges the gap between advanced research data collection and clinical EEG monitoring. It enables the simultaneous routing of neural signals from macroelectrodes to the clinical EEG recording systems and the NeuroPort system, ensuring no compromise in the integrity of diagnostic signals or the potential for complex research paradigms.
The NeuroSnap Splitter Box is designed to allow biopotential signals to be split between the Blackrock Digital NeuroPort Biopotential Signal Processing System and a third-party recording system. The NeuroSnap Splitter Box receives signals through touch-proof connectors and splits the signal into an analog and a digital signal. It sends the analog signal to the third-party recording system, and the digitized version to the Hub, which in turn is connected to the Digital NeuroPort Biopotential Signal Processing System.
The dual processing paths in the NeuroSnap Splitter Box handles inputs from up to 64 1.5mm DIN touchproof connectors, facilitating the parallel management of neural signals from macroelectrodes. Upon reception, it separates and directs neural signals through two distinct pathways: one pathway routes the raw, analog signals to 3rd party clinical EEG recording systems for immediate observation and diagnostics, while the other channel processes and forwards the buffered and digitized signals to the NeuroPort system for detailed research analysis. This dual processing ensures that both clinical and research data are captured concurrently without interference, maintaining the integrity and specificity of each signal type for its intended use. This system design maximizes the utility of neural data collected, enhancing both clinical monitoring and neuroscientific research capabilities.
